Import songs

Put an audio CD in your drive, and iTunes automatically opens. If you're online, iTunes goes to an online database and (if it can find the CD) gets the artist, album title, song names, times, and more, and displays that information in the iTunes window, as shown above. The button in the upper-right changes to an “Import” button. Click that button, and the checked songs will import into the Library (shown in the “Source” pane, above).
