Chat with a group of people
To create a “chat room” and invite lots of people to join you, go to the File menu and choose “New Chat.” A Participants drawer pops out to the side of the chat room window. Click on the + sign and invite someone. Click the + sign again and again to invite as many people as you like.
Or tell people ahead of time to all meet in a chat room called, say, “Dogfood,” at a certain time. At that time, go the to File menu and choose “Go to Chat….” Enter the chat room name and click “Go.” Everyone around the world who does so will end up in the room together. Remarkable.
