Save a hard copy transcript of your chat
To save a hard copy of your chat, go to the iChat Preferences. In the “Messages” pane, check the box to “Automatically save chat transcripts.” This creates a new folder inside your Documents folder called “iChats”; all your chats will automatically appear in that new folder. Double-click a file to open it in a chat window; print it as a nice text file.
