Set up iChat
When you first open iChat, it will ask you to fill in certain information to get started. If you have a .Mac account, that will be your “screen name.” You can get a 60-day free .Mac trial account, and keep the screen name after the free trial is over, even if you quit. Or go to www.AIM.com and sign up for a free AIM account; you can use that as your Buddy name. If you already have a Jabber account, you can use that name as well.
