Customize the Setup Assistant
After your Mac installs the operating system, but before it takes you to your Desktop, you will go through the Setup Assistant. Well, as I mentioned on page 8, you will skip the Setup Assistant if you chose the options to “Archive and Install” and then “Preserve Users and Network Settings.”
The Setup Assistant asks for information that will get you connected to the Internet and make sure the email program, Mail, can get your email for you.
