Installer

Installer enables you to install software in Apple Installer document files. In most cases, this program will launch automatically when you open an Installer document. You can, however, launch Installer and use its Open dialog to locate and open an installer document containing software you want to install.

✓ Tip

  • Not all software uses Apple Installer document files. Some software has its own installer or uses the Vise installer.

To install software with Installer

1.
Open the Installer icon in the Utilities folder (Figure 1).

Use the Open dialog that appears (Figure 83) to locate and select the Installer document you want to install.
