Ex-Microsoft programmer “used to be a big fan” of Windows

A former Microsoft employee, Gregory Pierce liked Windows so much that he once coauthored a book about a piece of its technology called Direct3D. But today he only uses Windows to play games (a common knock against Macintosh) and for a few programming tools that aren’t available for Mac.

Gregory: I am extremely proficient in using and coding for Windows. There aren’t too many things I can’t do with Windows, including hopping into regedit to hack some nVidia drivers or setting up a Web server.
