Where’s the Manual for My Mac?
You haven’t lost it; there isn’t one. But there is a nice help system on your Mac, and searching it will find answers across all the help files on your machine. The help system tends to be very task-oriented, so asking it questions about things you want to do is a good way to find information.
Curiously, some things you’d expect to be in the help files aren’t there, such as how to uninstall an application. I’ve tried searching using the words uninstall and remove, which seemed like a friendlier way of describing what I wanted to do. No luck.
