Moving Your Office Documents

If you use Microsoft Office on Windows, I think you’ll be very pleased with the Mac version. It’s fully file-compatible with the Windows version, and while the two programs look significantly different, in some ways (most of which make Office a real Mac program) the actual feel of Office is very much the same across both operating systems.

Here’s how to move your Office files.

On the PC:

Go through your My Documents folder and identify any folders that contain Office documents—such as word-processing documents, spreadsheets, or presentations. Some would include PDFs in this category, so if you don’t have enough of these to warrant a whole folder, just include them in the Office Documents transfer procedures. ...
