Why People Switch
Why do people move from Windows to Macintosh? Having read the stories of hundreds of Switchers and talked to dozens more, I’ve found the answer to be really simple:
Switchers had a bad Windows experience, or perhaps 15 years of bad Windows experiences, and
They fell in love with the Macintosh and Mac OS.
It’s about as simple as that, although there is usually a Mac user somewhere between steps one and two. Someone had to introduce the potential Switcher to the Mac. I found very few Switchers who were minding their own business when they passed the Apple Store and felt a sudden urge to own one of those cute new iMacs.
