Switcher Diary: Sara White

“Who wants to click Start to shut down their computer? It just doesn’t make sense!”

Sara White, a student, told me it took a major virus outbreak to persuade her father to buy her (and himself) a Mac. Though she had been using Windows for five years and was comfortable using the Windows Registry Editor (I’m not), Sara said the basic design of Windows never really made sense, especially when compared with Macintosh.

David: What did/do you like least about Windows?

Sara: I hated having to constantly worry about my PC crashing. I soon learned from experience to save my work about every minute, as I never knew when I would be interrupted with a freeze, crash, or the blue screen of death.
