Recovering from Windows
“Hi. My name is DJ and I am a recovering PC user.”
That’s how Dwight Joslin began his email to Apple Computer, responding to a request for people to share stories of why they switched from Microsoft Windows to Apple Macintosh.
Here’s Dwight’s story:
I’ve used PCs for years. I’ve upgraded, replaced, then upgraded again but could never stop my PC from locking up for no apparent reason. It was always the Windows OS from 3.1 right up through XP. There I’d be, right in the middle of a project or download, and then the blue screen of death. XP isn’t much better. And security has always been an issue with Windows.
