Sound

The Sound control panel enables you to set sound options for your computer:

  • Alerts (Figure 18) enables you to select, add, and change the volume of alert sounds.

  • Input (Figure 19) enables you to select a device for sound input.

  • Output (Figure 20) enables you to select a device and other options for sound output.

  • Speakers (Figure 18) enables you to set speaker options.

Tip

The options that appear in the Sound control panel vary depending on your computer model and the input and output devices connected to it. All Sound control panel illustrations in this book show the options for an iMac computer.
