General Controls

The General Controls control panel (Figure 36) enables you to set a variety of options that affect the way your computer works.

To set General Controls control panel options

1.	Choose Apple menu > Control Panels > General Controls (Figure 3). The General Controls window appears (Figure 36).
2.	To display the icons on your Desktop while other applications are active, turn on the Show Desktop when in background check box.
3.	To automatically display the Launcher control panel when the computer starts, turn on the Show Launcher at system startup check box.
