Fine-Tuning Mac OS Functionality

The Mac OS System software includes a number of programs—primarily system extensions and control panels—that enable you to fine-tune the way your computer works. These programs perform a variety of tasks, from providing shortcuts to changing the amount of RAM available to the CPU.

In this chapter, I provide a closer look at the system extensions and control panels that enable you to customize your computer's functionality.
