Navigation Services
Navigation Services, which was added to Mac OS in version 8.5, changes the appearance and functionality of the Open (figure 40) and Save As (figure 41) dialog boxes, making them more flexible and convenient to use.

Throughout this book, I refer to the dialog boxes introduced with Navigation Services as the "new" Open and Save As dialog boxes.
