Modem
The iBook comes with a built-in 56K modem that you can use to dial in to the Internet (or any other computer system to which you have access) and send and receive faxes.

Tip
Use the Modem control panel, which is discussed in Chapter 10, to set options for the iBook modem.

Tip
To send and receive faxes, you need fax processing software. The iBook comes with FAXstf for this purpose.
