If you regularly use any apps that require X11 (now known within OS X as XQuartz),[38] such as the Inkscape vector graphics editor,[39] then you might be used to the confusion of each XQuartz app utilizing its own menu bar. A way to make XQuartz apps easier to work with is to integrate XQuartz with Mission Control’s spaces and to run XQuartz full-screen. Here are the steps:

  1. Create a space specially for XQuartz. This can be done by starting Mission Control using either the keyboard hotkey or Control+Up and then holding Option and pressing the plus button in the top-right corner of the screen.
