Tip 271Switch Between App Windows

The Command+Tab key combination lets you switch between open applications, but what if you want to switch between open documents or files within the same application?

Simply hit Command+. That last one is the backtick key, which is located to the left of the number row on most English keyboards, but you might find it to the left of the Z key on some keyboards.

You won’t see a fancy list showing which windows are open, like with the main task switcher. Instead, you’ll simply cycle through the open windows of the app on each tap of the key, bringing each window to the fore.
