Although it’s a very useful feature, the Show Desktop feature isn’t given its own hotkey on Mac keyboards—unlike Mission Control and Dashboard. While you can hit F11 to activate it (Fn+F11 on portable Macs, or perhaps Ctrl+Down depending on your system configuration), you might like to know that the Mission Control hotkey (usually F3) doubles up as a Show Desktop hotkey. Just hold Command before you tap it.
