Now, before we get carried away, let’s get something straight. First of all, this book will not make you a designer. Take it from me, you don’t want to be a designer anyway; everyone’s always asking your opinion about color or where to put the piano. Forget about it—nothing but petty annoyances.

What this book will do, however, is give you enough skill and insight to make good design decisions, using one of the most powerful tools a designer could ever have: the Macintosh.
