About the Authors

Professor James B. Kuo received a BSEE degree from National Taiwan University in 1977, an MSEE degree from the Ohio State University in 1978, and a PhDEE degree from Stanford University in 1985. Since 1987, he has been with the National Taiwan University. In 2000, he joined the University of Waterloo as the NSERC Canada Research Chair Professor. He has published numerous international journal articles. In 1999, he was elected to be an IEEE fellow for his contributions to modeling of CMOS VLSI devices. He serves as an associate editor for the IEEE Circuits and Devices Magazine and a membership chair for the IEEE Electron Devices Society.

Dr. Shih-Chia Lin received a BSEE degree in 1992 and a PhDEE degree in 2001 from the National Taiwan University. His research specialty is compact modeling of SOI CMOS devices. Currently, he is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Waterloo.
