Applications of Low-Visibility Printed Antennas

5.1 Introduction

Microstrip antennas possess attractive features such as low profile, flexibility, light weight, small volume, and low production cost. In addition, the benefit of a compact low-cost feed network is attained by integrating the radio frequency (RF) feed network with the radiating elements on the same substrate. Microstrip antennas have been widely presented in books and papers in the last decade [1–8]. Microstrip antennas may be employed in communication links, seekers, and in biomedical systems.
