The AIDA formula reminds us of the key elements of good marketing and advertising.
A – Attention
You have to get someone’s attention. That is why the headline is so important, because you have literally only seconds to grab someone’s attention. Specific messages targeting to a niche audience, offering a tangible benefit with a strong promise, will always do this better than generalized statements.
I – Interest
Once you have caught someone’s interest with the headline, then you have to maintain that interest and build on whatever desire was targeted in the headline. Don’t bore the reader, and keep your message focused on them.
D – Desire
