Working with DXL Tools
Domino's architecture is similar to XML in that they both separate data from formatting. Domino presents a document, which is data, through a form that controls the formatting.
Domino XML Language (DXL) was developed to represent Domino data. It contains the tags and attributes needed to describe Notes elements stored in an .nsf file.
Designer ND6 includes some DXL Utilites that can be used as tools for handling XML. The three tools are
Exporter— Converts design elements into DXL.
Viewer— Displays the elements in the DXL format.
Transformer— Applies a style sheet to design elements and outputs the elements to a display screen or creates an HTML file.
