Effective Access

In complex database applications that have many groups, it can often be difficult to determine what a user's actual access level is. In Domino 6, Lotus has made it much easier to determine what a user's actual access to a database is through the new Effective Access feature. A user's effective access is the actual access she has been granted to the database.

To determine a user's effective access to a database, follow these steps:

1.
Select a database and choose File, Database, Access Control; alternatively, right-click and choose Database, Access Control.

Click the Effective Access button, which opens the dialog shown in Figure 10.3.
