Using External Files in Applications

Domino 6 allows you to share non-NSF files within your applications through a new design feature known as a file resource. To create a file resource, follow these steps:

1.
Open the database that will contain the file resource in the Designer client.
2.
Click Shared Resources, File to open the file's work pane.
3.
Click the New File Resource button. This opens the File Open box.
4.
Select the file to share as a file resource and click Open.
5.
Right-click the new file resource and choose Resource Properties. This opens the File Resource properties box.
6.
On the Basic tab (the first tab), name the file resource.
