Setting Up Design Locking

Design element locking is a valuable tool made available with Domino/Notes 6. When enabled, design element locking ensures that designers cannot modify design elements concurrently (while other designers are modifying the same elements).

Two types of design locking are available: explicit locks and temporary locks. An explicit lock restricts alternate designers from opening design elements locked by other designers until they are released by the original designer (who originally locked the design element).
