Lossless Information Hiding in Vector Quantization Compressed Images

Abstract

The traditional pixel-domain information hiding algorithms may be greatly compromised when the images are encoded by lossy compression algorithms, which in this sense can be regarded as a type of attack to the original information hiding algorithms. This problem is especially urgent to the pixel-domain-based lossless information hiding algorithms because of the requirement of perfect restoration, which could be impaired by some lossy compression process.
