Chapter 13. Step 10: Use Common Sense When Gaming with Others

Kaylyn logged in to the gaming site her big brother had shown her the night before. The site was aimed at younger kids, and 10-year-old Kaylyn had enjoyed creating her player identity last night with her brother watching. The pictures of the characters were cute, and she got to pick her own player name. She chose CuteKitten because she loves cats.

After logging in, she clicked on a game to join. There was another person already playing, and she quickly got caught up with the game’s action. At one point the other player said over the headset, "Hey, CuteKitten, how old are you?"

"I’m 10," she replied, her attention still on the game.
