ntpdate timeserver
Der ntpdate
-Befehl setzt die aktuelle Systemzeit, indem er einen Timeserver im Netzwerk kontaktiert. Sie müssen Root sein, um die Systemzeit einzustellen.
# /usr/sbin/ntpdate timeserver.someplace.edu 7 Sep 21:01:25 ntpdate[2399]: step time server 178.99.1.8 offset 0.51 sec
Damir Ihr System auch über lange Zeiträume synchron mit einem Timeserver bleibt, nutzen Sie stattdessen den ntpd
-Daemon (siehe http://www.ntp.org). Falls Sie keinen lokalen Timeserver kennen, suchen Sie bei Google nach »public ntp time server«.
