The Problem

There are two aspects of the problem addressed by directory integration. One aspect deals with recording vital employee information. The other is that of locating and securing system services. These two problems meet when the employees need to use services. First, let's survey the user view.

We assert that every company that is larger than two to three employees has a published directory that contains at least employee names and phone numbers.
