Security Stance

We must decide on a security stance for Elsolutions. We could take the position that assumes that any access that isn't expressly forbidden to a given user or service is allowed. This was the security stance of many UNIX systems on the Internet during the halcyon early noncommercial period.

The opposite security stance is to disallow any access and rights that are not expressly allowed. This is a prudent security stance for a for-profit company such as Elsolutions to adopt to avoid loss of intellectual property, bookkeeping information, inventory control, and other important data.
