Web Programming Authoring and Deployment Tools

We hand-built our pages using VIM, again through a telnet session to Linux. We didn't use a tool because these produce extra output, obscuring the core page source that we were trying to present.

After we got the examples running on Linux, we deployed them to Windows 2000 running Apache and Tomcat. The Apache had Mod Perl, Mod PHP, and Mod Jserv installed. Windows XP and Windows 2000 needed after-market Perl and PHP interpreters installed. Red Hat Linux 7.1 did not.
