Linux Desktop

Linux runs with two major desktop systems: KDE and Gnome. Each of these systems may be run with a choice of X Windows managers. The window manager and the desktop environment are customizable to a significant degree. Thus, there is no typical Linux look-and-feel, although the default look-and-feel of the commercial distributions resembles that of Windows prior to Windows XP.

Each desktop system contains many applications. Ours ships with multiple GUI programs in these categories:
