Week 16: Building Your Network with Strategic Groups

Participating in groups is one of the best ways I know to start building strategic relationships. The nice thing about a group is that even if you are not connected with another member, you can still send messages without paying for an InMail. Beyond that is the fact that since you share a group, you already share an interest. This is why it is important to join not only industry- and company-based groups but a few skiing or golfing groups as well. We all know you can make as many deals (or more) on a golf course as you can in the boardroom. LinkedIn groups can work for you in the same way.
