This appendix explores the different output formats available for SPARQL queries. These formats allow for a high level of flexibility when using SPARQL in your applications. We cover the general structure of each format and where to find more detailed information about each.

All of the example results in this appendix are based on the first SPARQL query example shown in chapter 5 (listing 5.1). Keep in mind that this is a very simple query, and as queries become more complex, so do their results. For your convenience, the following listing is a copy of the SPARQL query from listing 5.1.
