Using Weight Maps to Control the Input and Placement of Gradients and Textures

Did you know that weight maps have another use apart from their role in preparing models for rigging? Indeed they do! You can use weight maps in conjunction with gradients to easily control the visibility and placement of colors and textures on your model, which, needless to say, is extraordinarily useful!

This can be especially handy when working with procedural textures, since they can otherwise be pretty darn tricky to control.
