Interview Setups

As you have probably gathered, my goal in this book is not only to introduce you to every aspect of lighting, but help you understand the “why” behind the “how.” The lighting director who understands the “why” will be able to do more creative work than someone who is simply working from formulas and diagrams. But not everyone wants to become a master of the photon—they just want to be able to shoot competent video. In the workshops I do across the country, I invariably have someone in attendance who just wants some diagrams and instructions on how to make them work. Well, cheer up. This chapter is for you!
