Setting up the Android development environment

To use our Eclipse IDE for Android development, we need to install two things: the Android SDK and the Android ADT plugin. Android SDK can be downloaded as a compressed archive from http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html. It will be listed under GET THE SDK FOR AN EXISTING IDE. The archive can be extracted to a location on your hard drive which needs to be linked from within Eclipse.
