ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Robert Simons is the Charles M. Williams Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School, where he teaches courses on strategy implementation, management control, and organization design. Simons has served as head of the school’s Accounting & Control faculty unit and as director of the division of research. He is currently chairman of the Advanced Management Program for senior executives. Simons’s first book, Levers of Control: How Managers Use Innovative Control Systems to Drive Strategic Renewal (HBS Press, 1995), won the award for Notable Contribution to Management Accounting Literature.
