In a recent study, the Urban Institute set out to answer a question that had immense ramifications for education and educators. The question had nothing to do with curriculum or governance or instructional methods. It wasn't about the strategic use of data, a topic about which the author of this book, Paul Bambrick-Santoyo, has written the quintessential volume and which, he shows, can cause a sea change in the effectiveness of day-to-day instruction.
