About the Author

Larry Bonfante has held executive leadership positions over the past 29 years in the financial, pharmaceutical, not-for-profit, consulting, and sports and entertainment industries. Larry holds a master of science degree in organizational leadership and has received numerous industry accolades, including being named as one of Computerworld's Premier 100 IT Leaders in 2009. As Chief Information Officer at the United States Tennis Association, Larry's team is responsible for all information technology related services supporting the U.S. Open, the most highly attended annual sporting event in the world. Larry has served as a mentor and executive coach for many IT leaders in various industries. He is the founder of CIO Bench Coach, an executive coaching practice that focuses on helping IT executives realize their potential by transforming the human side of IT leadership.

Larry has served as a mentor and executive coach as part of the Pathways program for the CIO Executive Council. He has also served as both president and chairman of the Fairfield-Westchester chapter of The Society for Information Management. He has been a guest lecturer at Columbia University, New York University, and Polytechnic Institute. He is an accomplished public speaker who has presented at many industry conferences and writes a monthly leadership column and blog for CIO Insight magazine.
