Understanding the Challenge Rules

The Systems Crash challenge has a number of rules that must be followed by teams or individuals. If multiple teams are running the challenge, rules can be altered or removed if all players are in agreement. The rules for the Mars Base Alpha Systems Crash Challenge are as follows:

  1. The robot created to attempt the missions must be built using parts from a LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT robotics kit (Retail or Education version 1.0 or higher).
  2. A minimum of one robotics kit must be used to build the robot.
  3. A maximum of two robotics kits may be used to build the robot.
