Writing the Story

A story isn’t an absolute requirement for your challenge, but it does help provide an incentive for successfully completing it. The story can do many things. First, it can be used provide the robot builder with consequences of failure. The story tells the builder what has happened and why a robot is needed. If a human can solve the problem without the use of a robot, there’s no robot challenge. The story has to provide a good reason for taking the human element out of the equation and putting in a robot to solve whatever problem the class, team, or even Mars base is facing.
