Create a matrix.  

List every option of communication within the organization across the top of the document.  It could be Internet, letter, voicemail, email, pagers, phone, video conferencing, meetings and face to face.  Put whatever you have available within the organization.  List these from Lean to Rich communication channels.  

On the vertical side, give examples of different communication experiences or occasions you have within that team or organization.  This does not have to be done organization wide.  It can be done within your department.  There are going to be different types of communication in each portion of the organization.
