Summary

In this chapter, we started by discussing the prerequisites for installing App Volumes Manager and then discussed the requirements from both a hardware and software perspective.

We then went on to download the software components and install the App Volumes Manager software onto our server (including a SQL Express database) before finishing off with the installation of App Volumes Agent onto one of our virtual desktop machines. In this case, it was the virtual desktop that we are going to use later in this book to capture AppStacks from.

In the next chapter, we will take a guided tour of App Volumes Manager so that you can familiarize yourself with how it works and where to perform the different tasks for managing your App Volumes environment. ...
