Learning TypeScript 2.x - Second Edition

Summary

In this chapter, we have learned the main characteristics of Node.js as a platform and its main components. We have also learned a little bit about the Node.js ecosystem and the kind of applications that we can create using it.

Toward the end of the chapter, we implemented a very small REST API. In the next two chapters, we are going to learn how we can use TypeScript to create web-based user interfaces that consume these APIs.
