When the time comes to ask a question, you should realize that the phrase “there are no stupid questions” does not apply on programming forums such as StackOverflow. I say this not to be mean, but to let you know that if you ask a bad question, you will probably get a lecture instead of an answer. Community members will focus on how to fix your bad question rather than how to fix your problem. On the other hand, if you ask a good question, you will get a good answer—and you may even get a compliment on how good your question is.
