Host Splunk data outside of Splunk

Let's not waste any more time and get stuck into getting our Splunk data visible outside of our Splunkenvironment. It's a pretty major project and over the next few pages we will need to get the following organized:

  • We need to start by setting up a basic website with no real content, using Nginx as a web server. I have used Nginx in this example as it does not use too much processing power and I am familiar with the configurations and its operation. Other web servers can be used, and feel free to use them if you would prefer.
  • We are going to set up a proxy connection to our Splunk environment so that we can connect and extract data.
  • We are going to install SplunkJS in our external website.
  • We are going to test connections ...
